Danielle Kasmarik - Head Athletic Trainer

Dani graduated from North Georgia College and State University in Dahlonega, Ga., with a B.S. in athletic training. While attending NGCSU she worked with the NCAA Division II women's soccer and men's basketball teams. Prior to coming to Oglethorpe University, she worked in a physical therapy clinic and provided sports medicine coverage to local high schools.  Additionally, she spent two years as the head athletic trainer for Bagataway Lacrosse. Dani is nationally certified and licensed by the state of Georgia as an athletic trainer. She lives in Suwanee with her husband and three children.

Caroline Wesley - Assistant Athletic Trainer

Caroline is from Baltimore, Md., and attended Lynchburg College where she received her B.S. in athletic training. While at Lynchburg, Caroline was a member of the Westover Honors program and ultimately graduated summa cum laude. Additonally, Caroline was a four-year starter on the Lynchburg College women's basketball team and was an ODAC All-Conference member multiple times. Following college, Caroline attended Indiana University where she received her Masters of Science in kinesiology and athletic training. Caroline is nationally certified and holds a license in the state of Georgia.

Cathy Grote, R.N.- Director of Health Services

Cathy Grote has been the director of health services at Oglethorpe University since November of 1999.  She is a graduate of Raymond Walters College in Blue Ash, Ohio, with a degree in applied science.  Her nursing career began in 1976 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she was a floor staff nurse, as well as a nurse in the operating room.  In 1992, she moved to Atlanta and began working at the Foot and Leg Medical Center as a surgical supervisor.  Prior to coming to Oglethorpe University, she worked for Deb Rudy and Associates.  As well as serving as director of health services, Cathy is an American Heart Association CPR instructor, a CPR instructor trainer, and an OSHA and first aid instructor.  Cathy and her husband Michael have been married for 25 years, and have two daughters, Lori and Julie, who are pursuing nursing and education careers.

Dr. Liza Hasso - Clinic Physician

Dr. Hasso has been the medical director/clinic physician at Oglethorpe University since January 2003.  Dr. Hasso completed her internship and residency in internal medicine at the University Of Pennsylvania Presbyterian Medical Center in Philadelphia.  Prior to starting a private practice and joining Crawford Long/Emory University Physicians Group and Piedmont Clinic, Dr. Hasso was a hospitalist at Jeans Hospital in Philadelphia (affiliated with Temple University). She has been in private practice since 1998. Dr. Hasso is board certified in internal medicine, specializing in women's health, obesity, travel medicine and preventive medicine.  She is a member of the American Medical Association and the American College of Physicians.
