36 Spring Sport Athletes Named to SCAC Honor Roll

The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC)announced the 2011 Spring Academic Honor Roll on Wednesday with 36 Stormy Petrel student-athletes earning the prestigious distinction.

To qualify, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade-point average of 3.25 for the term and be a regular member of a varsity athletic team in a sport sponsored by the conference.

The Stormy Petrel baseball team led the way for Oglethorpe by placing 12 student-athletes on the list. To view a complete list of the 2011 recipients, go here.

Since its inception in the fall of 1997, just over 18,500 student-athletes from the SCAC have achieved recognition for their contributions in the classroom.
