The majority of Oglethorpe spring sports team will be competing at their respective SAA championships this weekend.
The golf teams will both be competing at the SAA Golf Championships at Chateau Elan in Braselton, Ga. The Stormy Petrels will be hosting the Friday-Sunday event. On the men's side, junior Anthony Maccaglia, who became the first Division III golfer ever to be named to a Palmer Cup team earlier this month, looks to lead the Petrels to their second SAA championship in as many years and their 12th conference championship overall. The team will also be looking to qualify for the NCAA Men's Division III Championship for the 15th time in its history.
On the women's side, freshman Elizabeth Kim looks to solidify a spot in the NCAA Women's Division III Championship while the team, who recently moved into the Top 25 in the Golfstat Relative Rankings, looks to move up the leaderboard.

The tennis teams travel to Murfreesboro, Tenn., for the SAA Tennis Championships, an event they will co-host with Berry. The men's team earned the No. 2 seed at the event for the second consecutive season and will start their weekend in the quarterfinals Friday against No. 7 seed Centre at 1 p.m. Eastern. The women's team has the No. 7 seed and faces off against regionally-ranked No. 2 seed Birmingham-Southern at 10 a.m. Eastern on Friday.
The baseball team travels to Mount Berry, Ga., for the SAA Baseball Tournament on Friday. The Petrels hold the No. 7 seed, and their half of the double-elimination bracket will feature No. 2 seed Berry, No. 3 seed Rhodes and No. 6 seed Centre. The Petrels will take on Berry in the first round at 6 p.m. Friday. Then, they'll either advance to the winner's bracket and face the winner of Friday's Rhodes-Centre game at noon on Saturday or drop to an elimination game against the loser of that contest at 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

The track and field teams travel to Conway, Ark., for the SAA Track and Field Championships Friday and Saturday. The Petrels have a number of individuals who will be competitive for conference titles, including Dierdre Duncan, Courtney Duc and Katy Galli. Those three will also be looking to improve their marks in an attempt to qualify for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
