Ward Eclipses 500 Career Rebounds

Oglethorpe University men's basketball player Todd Ward of Venice, Florida eclipsed the 500 rebound mark for a career in an overtime loss to the Centre College Colonels on January 8, 2009. Ward, who is only a junior for the Stormy Petrels, grabbed 13 rebounds in the narrow 59-58 overtime loss to reach the career milestone.

Heading into weekend action in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference, Ward, with 533 career rebounds, currently stands twelfth all-time in Oglethorpe University history in that category. Ward needs only six more rebounds to enter the top ten in the school record books.
