The Oglethorpe University men's golf team rallied on the final day of the Nova Southeastern Shark Invitational to climb from 8th to a 4th place overall finish, 38 strokes behind tournament winner and Division II stalwart, Barry University.
The Stormy Petrels were led by the hot play of sophomore Matt
Bernstein who fired consecutive rounds of 77-71-70 for a three-day
total of 218 that was good for a tie for 13th place. Right on
Bernstein's heels was senior Scott Pugh who totaled 219 over the
three-day event to finish in a tie for 18th place.
Craig Stevenson carded a total of 225 to finish in a tie for 34th spot and Michael Hicks posted 226 to finish tied for 39th place.

The Petrels are back in action this coming weekend when they host the traditional Royal Lakes Fall Classic at Chestnut Mountain October 18-20.
