Golfers Take Third Place at Camp Lejeune

The Oglethorpe University men's golf team finished in third place at this weekend's Camp Lejeune Invitational played in Jacksonville, North Carolina on the Paradise Point Golf Course.

The Stormy Petrels finished behind Division III stalwarts Methodist and the Savannah College of Art and Design for the third place result. The Monarchs posted a three-day total of 849 (7-under) to win "the swords" while Oglethorpe finished 19 strokes off the pace with a team total of 868 (12-over).

Senior Scott Pugh led the way for Oglethorpe by firing rounds of 69-69-72 to post a 4-under total on the weekend and finish in a tie for 4th place individually.
