David Potts, Oglethorpe University men's golf assistant coach and Country Club of the South pro, won the 2009 Georgia Section Callaway Golf PGA Assistant Championship on Monday at White Columns Country Club in Milton, GA.

Potts posted a final-round 70 for a tournament total of 138 and a 2-stroke victory over Chris Nicol of Towne Lake Hills Golf Club. Nicol along with Greg Lee of Chicopee Woods Golf Course will join Potts at the PGA Assistant Championship in early October.

The winner of the 2009 Callaway Golf PGA Assistant Championship earns $9,000 out of a purse of $100,000. Top-70 finishers after the second round, including ties will make the cut.
