The men's golf team recorded a tied for sixth place finish at the illustrious Camp Lejeune Invitational held in Jacksonville, N.C. In a field loaded with nationally ranked talent, the Petrels finished tied with No. 4 Methodist and topped No. 1 Guilford in the tournament.
Individually, freshman Anthony Amodeo (pictured) recorded his highest collegiate finish, coming home in a tie for fourth place after posting a 3-day total of 211 (-3). Amodeo's weekend included breaking the course record on the par-70 Scarlet Course at Paradise Point by firing a round two 61. The round featured two eagles and five birdies with nary a bogey on the card and bested the previous course record of 62 set in 1998 by PGA golfer and ex-Methodist star Chad Collins.
