Golfers Tied for 3rd After Round One of Emory Invitational

The men's golf team fired a total of 299 at the Stone Mountain Golf Course in the first round of the Emory Invitational on Monday afternoon and are in a tie for third place, just four strokes back of tournament leader Huntingdon College.

Sophomore Eric Quinn led the way for Oglethorpe with a 2-over par 72 that puts him in a tie for third place heading into tomorrow's final round. Freshman Anthony Amodeo carded a 73 and is tied for 7th while Craig Stevenson posted a 76 and is tied for 21st. Jordan Hall shot a 78 and Patrick Cansfield carded an 80 to round out the "A" team scores.

The Petrels will try to track down Huntingdon in tomorrow's final round which begins with a shotgun start at 9:00 a.m. Check back to for updating results.
