Emory Edges OU for 2011 Georgia Cup; Quinn Claims POTY

For the first time in 10 years Oglethorpe's men's golf team has relinquished the Georgia Cup, the annual season-long competition amongst in-state Division III teams. This year, Emory edged the Petrels by a miniscule .41 of a stroke in team adjusted average. Sophomore Eric Quinn, however, managed to earn Player-of-the-Year honors for Oglethorpe.

Quinn bested Emory's Ryan Dagerman by a narrow .24 of a stroke to lead four Petrels on the All-State Team. Joining Quinn with All-State status were senior Craig Stevenson, freshman Anthony Amodeo and junior Jordan Hall.
