The men's golf "B" team competed informally at the 2011 Chick-fil-A Collegiate Classic hosted by Berry College on Monday and Tuesday and performed quite well.
Playing at the Coosa Country Club, the Petrel entered six individuals in the event, led by sophomore Hayden Jones who scored a two-day total of 147, good for an 8th place tie. Not far behind were sophomore Anthony Amodeo and freshman Kentaro Toyota who each posted identical rounds of 75-75 to finish in a tie for 26th spot.
Sophomore Lewis Gregory carded a total of 153 for a tied for 44th place result while Stephen Harris posted a 159 to finish in a tie for 72nd. Freshman Will Morrow rounded out the Petrels scoring in the event by coming home tied for 102nd place.
