Lacrosse Hangs Tough, But Falls to Sewanee
The men's lacrosse team hung tough with Sewanee on Salamone Field on Friday afternoon before ultimately losing by the score of 13-5. The Tigers entered the day with the 3rd best record in the SCAC and raced out to a 7-1 lead. From there the Petrels battled hard, and scored even with the Tigers 2-2 in the 4th quarter.

Hawks Nip Petrels on Salamone Field
For the thrid straight game the men's lacrosse team saw a first quarter lead evaporate as the Huntingdon Hawks rallied to top the Petrels 14-10 on Wednesday afternoon. Like they had against Rhodes and Millsaps last weekend, the Petrels jumped on top but could not hold the lead.

Majors Use Strong 2nd Half to Top Petrels
The men's lacrosse team jumped out to a 5-1 lead over Millsaps in Jackson, Miss. on Sunday afternoon but the Majors rallied to win 13-8. With the score tied 6 apiece at halftime, the Majors outscored the Petrels 6-1 in a decisive third quarter that lifted them to victory.

Lynx Top Men's Lax in OT
Junior attack Michael Kasmarik scored a fourth quarter goal with 44 seconds left to tie Rhodes College at 10 apiece on Firday afternoon in Memphis, Tenn. as the Petrels took on the Lynx. Rhodes regrouped, however, to get the sudden death win 11-10 in overtime.

The men's lacrosse team played without the services of a few key players on Sunday afternoon against Colorado College. The Tigers took advantage en route to routing the Petrels 21-2 on Salamone Field.

Hendrix College got the early jump on the men's lacrosse team on Friday afternoon by scoring the first three goals of the game en route to a 12-3 victory on Salamone Field.

Southwestern topped the men's lacrosse team in Georgetown, Texas on Sunday afternoon by the score of 11-2. The Pirates tallied three goals in the first, second and fourth quarters and added two in the third period to dominate the contest.

Trailing 8-3 early in the third quarter, the men's lacrosse team rallied to score six straight goals en route to winning their first game of the season 13-12 over the University if Dallas in Irving, Texas.

Lions Top Petrels in Demorest
Piedmont College topped the Oglethorpe men's lacrosse team 22-6 in Demorest, Ga. on Wednesday evening. The Lions tallied their first strike just 33 seconds into the contest and never looked back en route to building a comfortable 11-2 halftime advantage.

Golden Eagles Too Much for Petrels
Reinhardt College got a measure of revenge on the Oglethorpe men's lacrosse squad on Saturday afternoon by topping the Petrels 15-5 at North Forsyth High School in Cumming, Ga. Oglethorpe recorded their first ever victory in lacrosse against Reinhardt just a year ago but the Golden Eagles returned the favor on this windy day.
