Price Joins Lacrosse Recruiting Haul

The lacrosse program has added another commitment to the 2012-13 squad as Matt Price of Newnan, Ga. has decided to play for the Stormy Petrels.

Price is a veteran of the sport, having competed for eight years before bringing his game to the collegiate level. He's played virtually every position as he's grown into a physically imposing 6'4", 270 pound frame, now playing mostly as a long stick middle or defender.

Price comes to Oglethorpe via Northgate High School where he led his prep squad to the regional playoffs as a junior. An excellent student with interests ranging from graphic design to history, Price plans to pursue a career in one of those fields while on campus at Oglethorpe.

"Matt brings the type of size and tenacity to the program our defense has been searching for," said head coach Tom Higgins. "I suspect he'll make an immediate impact."
