Netters Sweep Hendrix on Senior Day
The men's tennis team capped their fourth SCAC win in three days by sweeping Hendrix College on Senior Day on Sunday on Downing Howell Courts, 9-0. Seniors Felix Mann, Ross Beall, Masen Shreve and Lawrence Sweatman all scored points for the Petrels in the win.
The Petrels took control of the match early by sweeping through the doubles competition. Seniors Beall and Mann combined at No. 1 to win 8-6 while Shreve and Sweatman teamed up at No. 3 to earn an 8-3 win.
Oglethorpe then ripped through the singles matches by dropping only one set to complete the sweep of the Warriors. Complete Hendrix match results included below.
With the win, Oglethorpe is now a sterling 15-3 on the season. The Petrels will conclude their regular season with a match against regionally ranked Washington & Lee on April 18.
