Grinell Outlasts Men's Tennis in Thriller

The men's tennis team began their spring break trip in Orlando by losing a thrilling match to Grinell, 7-1. Ranked No. 15 in the Central Region, Grinell got the early jump in doubles play and then held on for the victory.

After dropping points at No.'s 2 and 3 doubles, the duo of Ethan Motz and Rajiv Dinakaran rallied from down 7-2 and staved off four match points to eke out a 9-8 (6) and give the Petrels life heading into singles play.

Oglethorpe then looked poised to mount a big comeback by winnning the first set in singles in matches 2 through 6. Grinell, however, rallied in each contest to close the door on the Petrel rally. Complete match results listed below.

The men will next face Hamline tomorrow morning as their spring break trip continues.
