Men's Tennis Pounds Colorado College, 7-2

The Oglethorpe men's tennis team bounced back in a big way after their loss Saturday, beating former SCAC rival Colorado College in Orlando Sunday, 7-2.

The Petrels started by winning two of three doubles matches. Bryan Bailey and C.J. Antonio won their No. 1 doubles match 8-4, while Ben Hirsch and Kirk Zhao won 8-1 out of the No. 1 doubles slot. 

In the singles competition, Hirsch won the No. 5 singles 6-4, 6-0, while Antonio prevailed in No. 2 singles 6-3, 6-3, drawing the team to within one match of clinching the day. It didn't take long to finish the proceedings, as Bailey quickly finished the Tigers off by winning the No. 3 singles match 6-1, 6-2. 

Briton Richardson won the No. 6 singles 7-5, 6-1 for good measure, while Ethan Motz took care of his opponent in No. 1 singles, 6-3, 6-1.

The Petrels' win improves them to 6-3 on the season. They will continue their spring break trip in Orlando tomorrow with two dual matches, one against Calvin at 8 a.m.. They will then turn around and play Grinnell at noon.
