Cross Country Teams Compete at SCAC Championships

The men's and women's cross country teams concluded their seasons on Saturday afternoon at the 2010 SCAC Cross Country Championships hosted by Trinity and held in Seguin, Texas.

The men's team accrued 296 points and finished in 9th place overall with freshman Billy Colbert crossing the line first for Oglethorpe in 52nd place with a time of 28:21.

The women's team, poised for a nice finish to the season, were unfortunately disqualified after one of the Petrel runners unintentionally strayed from the course. Apparently, several runners in the race were confused by the course markings and Oglethorpe's women had to suffer the consequences and not post a team score.
