Women's Golf Finishes 12th at Chick-fil-A Invitational

The Oglethorpe women's golf team finished 12th at the Chick-fil-A Collegiate Invitational, hosted by Berry College, over the weekend.

Playing under wet and rainy conditions, the Oglethorpe women's golf team found themselves in 12th place following a first-round 353 and despite scoring five players in the 80s and shooting a season and current team low 334, Oglethorpe was unable to move up the leaderboard on Day 2.

Chelsea Gatterdam led the way for the Petrels with a 161 score overall, good for a 23rd place finish and Tori Van Wyen finished 36th, continuing her steady play. The moves of the day for the Petrels were made by Jordan Krahn (second-round 84), Mary Roberts (second-round 86) and Erin McPhee (second-round 87).

Playing as individuals, Kristi Phillips and Ana Bravo recorded 198 and 237, respectively, in their first collegiate tournaments. Nicole Ricketson also posted a score of 194 as an individual.

The University of the Cumberlands fired a two-day total of 618 to win the Chick-Fil-A Collegiate Invitational. Lindsey Wilson College and Shorter College battled it out for second and third firing 625 and 628, respectively.
