Women's Golf Finishes 16th At BSC Southern Shootout

The Oglethorpe women's golf team took 16th place at the BSC Southern Shootout over the weekend. The tournament took place at the Highland Park Golf Club in Birmingham, Ala., and was hosted by Birmingham Southern.

Junior Tori Van Wyen was the lowest individual scorer for the Petrels, shooting a two-day total of 156, good for a tie for 40th. Junior Chelsea Gatterdam finished in a tie for 55th at 159, sophomore Jordan Krahn tied for 77th at 165, freshman Mary Roberts finished 89th after posting a 169 and sophomore Erin McPhee rounded out the Petrels' main lineup by posting a 194.

Freshmen Nicole Ricketson and Kristi Phillips competed as individuals, posting scores of 177 and 221, respectively.

Lee took home first place and had the individual medal winner. The team posted a two-day score of 587 and medalist Courtney Shelton posted a two-day score of 139.

The women's golf team will round out their fall season when they compete in the Golfstat Division III Fall Preview next weekend at Baytowne Golf Club in Sandestin, Fla.
