Michelle Vasques is pursuing her love of lacrosse with the same dedication and vigor in which she achieved the level of 1st Dan Black Belt in Taekwondo under Master Sanghan Kim. She started playing lacrosse in her sophomore year and has rapidly excelled under the guidance of coaches Travis Pearre, Mike Squires and Kelly O'Donnell.
Additionally, Michelle also attended many summer camps, participated in fall and winter leagues, and worked on her speed and agility at Georgia Sports Performance. She is eager to continue playing lacrosse at the next level while working on her Masters of Arts in Teaching at Oglethorpe University.
“I am thrilled to have Michelle as a founding member! Her work ethic, strong field sense and excellent speed is what I noticed first,” said Head Coach Lee Ann Tutchton, adding, “and her background has developed her into the kind of key player and team leader on and off of the field that I am proud to have on our squad.”
Oglethorpe University will be holding their first DIII game on February 20, 2013 on Salamone Field and welcomes everyone to come out to see this historical game.
