Women Top Trevecca, Move to 2-0
The women's soccer team defeated Trevecca Nazarene University on Friday afternoon on Salamone Field, 1-0.
Freshman Clara St. Urbain, who entered the game as a sub in the 15th minute, needed only 40 seconds of clock time before scoring her second career goal to guide Oglethorpe to the victory. St. Urbain took a deep pass from Jordan Weaver and beat two Trojan defenders and the goalie to notch the game-deciding goal.
The Petrels mustered a few more chances throughout the contest but kept their focus on keeping Trevecca off the board, which they did successfully.
The Trojans outshot the Petrels 10-7 while Oglethorpe won 7 corners to the Trojans 2.
Oglethorpe is now 2-0 on the youndg season and will get set to face Piedmont at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday on Salamone Field.
