Lady Netters Advance to SCAC Quarters, Fall to No. 1 DePauw

The women's tennis team advanced to the SCAC Tournament quarterfinals for the first time in five years by topping Hendrix in Little Rock on Friday, 5-4. The Petrels were stopped later in the day in the quarters by No. 1 seeded DePauw, 9-0.

Against Hendrix, the Petrels claimed two doubles points with wins from Molly Colvard-Jayme Danielson (9-8) and LaDonna Barnes-Kayla Atkins (8-1). Alison Burt-Kayla Atkins (8-6) went down.

In singles, Oglethorpe got wins from Colvard (7-5, 6-3), Burt (4-6, 6-3, 6-2) and Kimberly O'Dell (6-4, 6-3) to claim the win.

Oglethorpe faces Colorado College on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. Eastern.
