Women's Tennis Drops Match to No. 15 Sewanee, 9-0

The Oglethorpe women's tennis team was blanked 9-0 in Sewanee, Tenn., against the 15th-ranked Sewanee squad Friday afternoon. The loss drops them to 2-10 on the season, 0-2 in SAA play.

After falling behind 3-0 in the doubles portion, the competition moved to singles, where Sewanee quickly finished the match off with back-to-back victories. Katherine Walker provided a brief bright spot for the Lady Petrels, as she took the second set to the brink out of the No. 1 slot before losing 7-5.

The loss drops the Lady Petrels to 2-10 on the season, 0-2 in SAA play. They will have a quick turnaround and will play Centre today.
