Oglethorpe Places 23 Fall Athletes on SCAC Honor Roll
The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference has announced its Student-Athlete Academic Honor Roll for the 2009 fall term and Oglethorpe placed 23 student-athletes on the list.

The Oglethorpe University women's volleyball team won their final regular season home contest on Thursday by topping Tennessee Wesleyan, 3-1. In the process, the Petrels bid farewell to seniors Lynette McKinney and Elena Dujour.

Women Sweep Away Brewton Parker
The Oglethorpe University women's volleyball team swept Brewton Parker on Tuesday night, 3-0. The game had to be moved from the Dorough Field House to the Schmidt Center floor due to moisture on Pinholster Court, but, nonetheless, the Petrels were able to emerge victorious.

The Oglethorpe University volleyball team swept both Spelman and Wesleyan on Pinholster Court on tuesday night. The wins raise the Petrels record to 12-12 on the season and puts Oglethorpe in a position to record their most victories in a season in nearly a decade

Petrels Rally to Stun Berry in Five Set Thriller
The Oglethorpe University women's volleyball team topped Berry College on Pinholster Court on Saturday afternoon in a five set thriller, 3-2. The Petrels not only rallied from being down two sets to none but also stormed back to win the final 7 points in the fifth set to claim the victory.

Volleyball Drops First Two in Indiana
The Oglethorpe University volleyball team lost their first two of a four game tournament at host DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana on Saturday afternoon. The Stormy Petrels were swept by Southwestern and Colorado College but will have an opportunity to rebound tomorrow versus Austin College and Sewanee.

The Oglethorpe University women's volleyball team won one of three contests on Friday in matches being held in Clearwater, Florida. The Petrels began the day with a 3-0 win over Moltnomah but fell in their final two contests to Trinity Bible (3-1) and Montreat (3-0).

The Oglethorpe University volleyball team won their home opener over Covenant in thrilling fashion on Pinholster Court on Tuesday night, 3-2. Trailing 2-1, the Petrels rallied to win the final two games to claim the victory.

2009 Oglethorpe Volleyball Season Preview
After helping guide the Stormy Petrels to their most successful season since 2002, head coach Kurt Matthews has generated a buzz of optimism as the team gets set for the 2009 campaign. Last year, Matthews guided the team to their most wins overall (12) and in conference (3) in seven years as Oglethorpe won two out of three contests at the SCAC Championships to finish alone in 9th place.
