The Oglethorpe volleyball team lost at Berry Tuesday night, 3-0 (25-15, 25-17, 25-21). The loss drops the Lady Petrels to 3-10, 0-10 in SAA play.
Oglethorpe got eight kills from McKenna Bondarenko, 21 assists from Katherine Cassell and eight digs from Megan Makuck.
The Lady Petrels were down 18-12 in the first set before Berry pulled away for a 25-15 victory in the set. In the second set, Berry was ahead 8-4, but Oglethorpe kept it close, down only 17-12. However, Berry pulled away to win that set, as well, 25-17. In the third and final set, the Lady Petrels hung tough, but eventually succumbed to the home-standing Vikings, losing the set 25-21.
The Lady Petrels will next be in action on Saturday at 2 p.m., when they will travel to Conway, Ark., to take on Hendrix in an SAA contest.
