Junior Jacob Arnett of the Oglethorpe men's golf team is set to compete this week in the NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championships. The event will take place at Grandover Resort in Greensboro, North Carolina, over four rounds running Tuesday through Friday, and Arnett will be competing in his third consecutive NCAA Championships, his first as an individual.
The event will take place with the entire field of 42 teams and seven individuals all playing on two courses over the first two days. Half the field will take to the resort's championship East Course (7150 yards, par 72) and the other half to the alternate West Course (6780 yards, par 72) on Tuesday, then flip to the opposite course on Wednesday. After that, the field will be cut to the top 18 remaining teams and the top six individuals not on those teams. The tournament's final two rounds will take place entirely on the East Course.
Arnett will get his tournament started Tuesday on the West Course, and will tee off on the first hole at 9:10 a.m. On Wednesday, he'll flip to the East Course and will get his round started at a scheduled 1:45 p.m. from the 10th hole.
