  • Men's lacrosse falls to Huntingdon, drops to .500 on season

    The Oglethorpe men's lacrosse team found themselves matched up against a tough Huntingdon Hawks side Wednesday night at the Oglethorpe Track and Field. They hung in for awhile but couldn't score enough to stay in the contest in a 17-4 defeat. The loss dropped the Stormy Petrels to an even 4-4 on the season.

    The Oglethorpe men's lacrosse team fell 16-2 to the visiting Greensboro Pride Saturday afternoon at the Oglethorpe Track and Field. The Stormy Petrels fell behind 6-0 in the first quarter and were unable to work their way back into the game. They fell to 4-3 on the season with the loss.
  • Men's lacrosse trounces Earlham 19-4 to set school record for single-season wins

    The Oglethorpe men's lacrosse team won its fourth game of a season for the first time in program history Saturday afternoon, running away from the visiting Earlham Quakers 19-4 at the Oglethorpe Track and Field. With the win, the Stormy Petrels improved to 4-2 on the season.

    The Oglethorpe men's lacrosse team played at the Oglethorpe Track and Field in their home opener Thursday afternoon after it was delayed by a postponement in February. The Stormy Petrels fell to the visiting Methodist Monarchs 14-6 and fell to 3-2 on the season.

    The Oglethorpe men's lacrosse team defeated Mount St. Joseph 7-3 in Cincinnati on Sunday to continue the best start in program history. They now sit at 3-1, matching the most-ever wins by a Stormy Petrel men's lacrosse team, and their three-game winning streak is the largest in program history.
  • Men's lacrosse defeats Concordia Chicago in dramatic fashion

    The Oglethorpe men's lacrosse team scored a game-tying goal with nine seconds left in regulation and a sudden-death goal in overtime Friday night to knock off Concordia Chicago 9-8 at a neutral site in Cincinnati. Sophomore middie Brian Green scored both goals for the Stormy Petrels, who improved to 2-1 on the young season with the victory.
  • Men's lacrosse nabs first win of year, defeats Averett 6-2

    The Oglethorpe men's lacrosse team earned their first victory of the season Saturday afternoon in Danville, Virginia, beating the homestanding Averett Cougars 6-2. The Stormy Petrels got three goals from junior attackman Cameron Ritter and 10 saves from freshman goalie Addison Irwin in the victory and improved to 1-1 on the season.

    The Oglethorpe men’s lacrosse team returns to action this week, as they open their season Wednesday night against in-state opponent Piedmont in Demorest. The Stormy Petrels come off a 1-11 season in 2018, but look to have much more depth on the roster this time around and will try to use that to their advantage as they work their way through their SAA schedule.

    The Oglethorpe men's lacrosse team opened their season with an 18-5 loss to in-state opponent Piedmont in Demorest Wednesday night. The Stormy Petrels and Lions were tied 2-2 after the opening 15 minutes, but Piedmont responded by scoring 15 of the game's next 16 goals to pull away to a 17-3 lead early in the fourth quarter.
