Men's cross country reserves finish second at Sewanee Invitational; Brummett finishes sixth among women

The men's cross country reserves finished second Saturday at the Sewanee Invitational in Tennessee, accruing five top 10 finishes on the morning. In addition, freshman Sarah Brummett finished sixth among 25 runners in the women's 6-kilometer race.

The Stormy Petrel men's team finished second to Sewanee with 31 points to the Tigers' 24. Sophomore Sam Hunt finished second, completing the 8-kilometer course in 28 minutes, 22.7 seconds. Junior Nick Berardi finished fourth with a time of 28:48.3. Freshman Stephen Graffius finished seventh, sophomore Brett Amazon eighth, and freshman Griffin Hodges 10th.

On the women's side, Brummett finished sixth with a time of 26:01.9 on the 6-kilometer course. Freshman Robin Stein finished 19th in the women's race, as well.

The Petrels will be back in action on Saturday, Oct. 5, when they travel to Oxford, Alabama, for the Foothills Invite. After that, they'll head to Mount Berry for the Berry Invitational on Oct. 19.
