  • Women's golf drops to fifth to finish BSC Southern Showdown

    The Oglethorpe women's golf team shot a 31-over-par 319 at Bent Brook Golf Course in Birmingham, Alabama, Tuesday, dropping four spots down the leaderboard to fifth place at the conclusion of the 10-team, 36-hole BSC Southern Showdown. The Stormy Petrels finished at 57-over 633 over two days, putting themselves 15 strokes back of a first-place tie between Methodist and Berry. 
  • Women's golf moves up to No. 18 in latest coaches poll

    The Oglethorpe women's golf team moved seven spots up the rankings to No. 18 in the latest Division III Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) Coaches Poll, released by the organization Friday. It marked the highest point of the season for the Stormy Petrels, who entered the poll at 25th to start their spring season.
  • Women's golf falls to No. 6 Williams in dual match

    The Oglethorpe women's golf team fell to the sixth-ranked Williams Ephs in a dual match Sunday at the Mission Inn Resort and Club in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida. The Ephs got around the Las Colinas course with a 27-over-ar 315 while the Stormy Petrels did it in 43-over 331.
  • Women's golf moves up to 23rd in latest coaches poll

    The Oglethorpe women's golf team moved up two spots in the latest Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) poll, coming in at No. 23 in the ranking released Friday by the organization. It marked the second consecutive poll in which the Stormy Petrels were ranked, after they came in 25th in the Feb. 22 release.
  • Women's golf finishes sixth at Jekyll Island for best-ever finish at tournament

    The Oglethorpe women's golf team posted their best-ever finish at their own Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational, coming in sixth out of the 21-team national field. The Stormy Petrels fired a final-round 37-over-par 325 on the Jekyll Island Golf Club's Indian Mound course on Sunday, putting them at 98-over 962 for the tournament and 50 strokes back of champion Carnegie Mellon. 
  • Women's golf finishes eighth at 18-hole Callaway Gardens Collegiate

    The Oglethorpe women's golf team finished eighth out of 15 teams at the Callaway Gardens Collegiate Invitational on Saturday. They shot an 18-hole score of 41-over-par 333 to finish 25 strokes behind first-place Methodist on the day.
  • Women's golf vaults into coaches' top 25

    The Oglethorpe women's golf team earned a spot in the top 25 of the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) Division III Coaches Poll Friday, coming in at 25th. It marked the first time this season that the Stormy Petrels had earned a spot in the top 25.
  • 2019 Women's Golf Spring Preview

    The spring season is just weeks away and the Oglethorpe women’s golf team is anxiously awaiting the start of the 2019 campaign. The team is looking forward to welcoming back to the rotation junior Ana Garcia from Marietta, Georgia, and senior Katie Hanley from Miami. Ana appeared in one of the four fall tournaments before an injury sidelined her for the fall. Hanley, a senior co-captain, missed the entire fall.
  • Women's Golf 2018 Fall Recap

    The Oglethorpe women's golf team finished the fall season with a school-record team scoring average of 315.33 through the four tournaments. In the four major tournaments, the Stormy Petrels earned no worse than a sixth-place finish and totaled three top five finishes in four events, which is another school best.
  • Women's Golf Finishes Second at Chick-fil-A Collegiate; Sanchez Shares Individual Medal

    The Oglethorpe women's golf team enjoyed its best result of the fall season this week at the Chick-fil-A Collegiate Invitational in Rome, finishing second place among 13 teams with a 49-over-par 625 over 36 holes and a 28-over 316 on Tuesday to finish just four strokes back of champions Shorter, a Division II school.
  • Women's Golf Finishes Tied for Fifth at Golfweek Invitational, Willman Earns Top 10 Finish

    The Oglethorpe women's golf team fired its best round of the Golfweek Division III Fall Invitational on Tuesday in Miramar Beach, Florida, posting a 26-over-par 314 to finish the 54-hole tournament at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort's Baytowne Golf Club at 90-over 954. That tied them for fifth place with Methodist and put them 34 strokes back of champions Rhodes.
  • Women's Golf Finishes Fifth at General's Invitational

    The Oglethorpe women's golf team got their stay in Lexington, Virginia, off to a good start Sunday, as they put up the third-place score through the first 18 holes at the General's Invitational. They fired a 22-over-par 310 at the Lexington Golf and Country Club to finish the day 10 strokes back of first-place Carnegie Mellon.
  • Women's Golf Finishes Tied for Sixth at MCC Intercollegiate

    The Oglethorpe women's golf team knocked 11 strokes off their first round score Sunday at the Montgomery Country Club Women's Intercollegiate, posting a 24-over-par 312 to improve to a tie for sixth place at the event, coming in 22 strokes back of champions Rhodes. 
  • Women's Golf Team Set to Kick off Fall Season at Montgomery Intercollegiate

    The Oglethorpe women's golf team is set to get their season underway this weekend at the Montgomery Country Club Women's Intercollegiate in Montgomery, Alabama. The Stormy Petrels are receiving votes in the coaches' poll coming into this season, and will face off against No. 10 Berry, No. 13 Huntingdon, No. 18 Washington and Lee, No. 19 Rhodes, No. 20 Sewanee, No. 23 Centre, and a Birmingham-Southern team receiving votes at the tournament, as well as in-state foe Piedmont and SAA foe Millsaps.
  • Todd Brooks Named Director of Athletics at Oglethorpe University

    Brooks has been appointed as director of athletics at Oglethorpe University, effective Aug. 27. The former Berry College athletics director brings 30 years of collegiate athletics experience .
